BEIJING - China's housing authority said on Oct 12 that up to 90 percent of this year's planned low-income housing and shantytown renovation projects in China have been started during the first nine months of 2010.
In May, the MOHURD demanded all local authorities assure that the full-year' s goal of low-income housing construction be accomplished.
China planned to build three million apartments for low-income families, and renovate 2.8 million units in urban shantytown areas in 2010, according to MOHURD.
