Occupying an expansive 4,000 sq m area in E5 Hall of the new China International Exhibition Center, the FAW-Volkswagen is presenting the largest product line by a single car brand at the auto show.
All models of FAW-Volkswagen on show are fitted with TSI engines, while several new models are making their premiere.
The TSI turbocharged direct injection engine represents one of the top technologies in the world today to improve both fuel efficiency and power.
Compared to a conventionally aspirated engine with the same displacement, the TSI uses 10 percent less fuel and discharges a proportionately lower level of emissions.
"High power supply, low fuel consumption" has become the guiding principle for FAW-Volkswagen in technology development.
The automaker is outfitting TSI engines in increasing numbers of its models, each offering the best balance between power and fuel consumption in its segment
All FAW-Volkswagen models on show also carry the six-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The DSG enables smoother gear changes without interruption of power, lowering fuel consumption while ensuring perfect acceleration.
The TSI+DSG package together reduces fuel use and emissions by over 20 percent.
"FAW-Volkswagen has always been dedicated to making its products more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly through consistent innovations," said FAW-Volkswagen President An Tiecheng at the auto show.
"In the future, the company will introduce more advanced and environment friendly technologies, and produce more car models with the TSI+DSG."
