VW to launch electric car

The German carmaker, Volkswagen AG, will launch electric cars in China under its new 'Kaili 'brand in conjunction with FAW Group, as it joins other foreign players in the race to develop the fledgling sector.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology gave approval for FAW-Volkswagen's 'Kaili' electric vehicle on May 3, Volkswagen said.
