China, ROK sign MOU on building of industrial park

CHANGCHUN -- Officials from China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Sept 6 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the building of an industrial park in Southwest China's Chongqing city.
The MOU was signed by Vice-Minister of Commerce Jiang Zengwei and Mun Zae Do, an official with the ROK's Ministry of Knowledge Economy, at the ongoing 7th China Jilin Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo in Jilin's capital city Changchun.
According to the agreement, the industrial park, located in the Liangjiang New Economic Zone in Chongqing, will serve for the development of industries such as electronics, cultural innovation and digital entertainment.
The industrial park is scheduled to hold an opening ceremony on Sept 14.
The six-day trade fair that opened on Sept 6 is expected to attract 50,000 exhibitors and visitors from the ROK, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Japan, Russia, Mongolia and other regions.
