Chinese company aids 25 projects in Myanmar

YANGON - Chinese crude oil pipeline company SEAOP will assist Myanmar in implementing 25 socio-economic development projects in its pipeline project areas in the country's Rakhine state and Magway region.

The contract on the aid projects worth $1 million was signed on Saturday between SEAOP and nine Myanmar companies involved in the projects.

The signing was witnessed by officials of Myanmar's Energy Department.

According to the Chinese company, the 25 projects cover 21 schools, 2 clinics and 2 kindergartens. On completion, 1,320 villager patients, 105 pre-school-age children and 1,891 students will benefit from the projects.

The company granted an annual aid of $1 million to Myanmar for launching social charity undertakings in its pipeline project areas.
