DOHA - China and Qatar aim at more comprehensive cooperations, including in the field of investment, visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao told a press conference here on Wednesday.
Among a series of cooperative agreements reached here Wednesday between the two countries, a key topic is to establish a long-time, stable and comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two sides on natural gas.
Wen noted that his discussions with Qatari leaders covered more comprehensive fields such as the investment cooperation, especially in the field of downstream oil product processing, where Qatar has the most pressing need.
The two sides have agreed to jointly build a refinery in China's eastern Zhejiang province, Wen said, adding that Chinese enterprises are also ready to participate more in Qatar's infrastructure construction.
To facilitate investment cooperation, the two sides also inked an agreement with financial support. Qatar's proposal of settling trade in local currency is also negotiable, according to Wen.
