BEIJING - China has decided to launch a review of existing anti-dumping measures on potato starch imported from the EU and extend anti-dumping duties on potato starch imports from the EU for another year beginning on Monday, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).

China will continue to impose the same anti-dumping duty rates set last year on imported potato starch before the review ends on February 6, 2013, the MOC said in a statement on its website.

Potato starch imports from the EU are subject to anti-subsidy duties ranging from 7.5 to 12.4 percent, according to an MOC ruling dating back to September last year.

The MOC launched an anti-subsidy probe into EU potato starch exports on August 30, 2010 at the request of the China Starch Industry Association.
