BEIJING -- China's stocks rose sharply on Monday on better-than-expected US non-farm job report.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index moved up 1.04 percent, or 22.12 points, to close at 2,154.92, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.49 percent, or 135.58 points, to close at 9,212.2.
The US Labor Department said last week that the US economy added 163,000 jobs in July, beating expectation of 95,000 ones, a sign of improving situations in the world's largest economy.
