Chinese stocks open lower Friday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks opened lower Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slightly down 0.22 percent to open at 2,108.36.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.38 percent lower at 8,697.24.
