China stocks close lower Wednesday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index falling 0.95 percent, or 19.78 points, to close at 2,053.37.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,270.91, down 1.54 percent, or 129.45 points.
