Travel rush ahead of holidays

A large number of passengers wait to board trains at the Nanjing Railway Station in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 27, 2012. The travel rush started on Thursday for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays running from September 30-October 7. The holidays will witness a large influx of travelers to railway stations around scenic spots, as well as homecomings for family reunions. According to the Ministry of Railways, railways are expected to transport 75.4 million passengers in 11 days beginning Sept 27. [Photo/Xinhua]
