China stocks close lower Tuesday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.38 percent, or 7.71 points, to 2,009.27.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,052.79, down 7.76 points, or 0.1 percent.
