The Chinese Mainland and Taiwan will convene the fourth regular meeting of the cross-Straits Economic Cooperation Committee on Tuesday in Guangzhou, in South China.

Officials from Taiwan's economic authorities say the launch date for the establishment of offices by cross-Straits civil economic and trade groups will be announced at this meeting. These offices are expected to open first in Shanghai, then Taipei, and followed by Beijing.

The meeting will also review and assess the implementation of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement, known as the ECFA. But this meeting won't be touching on issues to do with cross-Straits service trade.
