Govt encourages environmentally-friendly equipment use among industries

The Ministry of Environmental Protection suggested 13 national departments carry out economic policies and regulations to encourage the companies to use environmentally-friendly equipment, in order to promote technology upgrades and reduce carbon emissions.

The ministry encouraged companies to apply environmental protection manufacturing techniques to prevent pollution in 14 industries including chemical, coating, pharmaceutical, nonferrous metals, refining, mining and construction, Economic Information Daily reported on Monday.

According to the new project, some departments will give companies financial support or tax incentives for purchasing environmentally-friendly equipment and improving production processes.
