Priced between 107,800 and 148,300 yuan, the all-new Bora is an upgraded model in the middle of vehicle's lifecycle. Made at Volkswagen's joint venture with FAW Group, it formally hit the market on Dec 12.
Its powertrain is basically the same with the old model. Its 1.4-liter turbocharged engine has maximum power of 96 kW and top torque of 220 Nm. Another engine option, a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated power plant, has maximum output of 77 kW and peak torque of 155 Nm. It is available with five-speed manual transmission, six-speed automatic transmission or seven-speed direct shift gearbox. The wheelbase retains its length of 2,610 mm.
Major changes on car's exterior and interior include replacing the old, soft front profile with the current Volkswagen face featuring sharper lines.
