Chinese stocks open higher Monday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, the first trading day after the week-long Spring Festival holiday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.39 percent to 2,441.91.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 10,036.38, up 0.47 percent from the previous close.
