HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks rose 153.74 points, or 0.69 percent, to close at 22,464.82 on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,366.02 and 22, 529.37. Turnover totaled HK$63.36 billion ($8.16 billion).
