Fast food chain to expand on Chinese mainland

Dicos, a fast-food restaurant chains under the Ting Hsin International Group, is expected to quickly expand its store numbers to 25,000 by 2040.

The ambitious goal is announced after Dicos has allowed its employees to join franchising.

Shao Xinmou, director of Dicos, said on May 13th the restaurant chains have grown its new stores in the first quarter by 40 percent and will open more than 500 new stores on the Chinese mainland.

Its first quarter revenue has increased 25 percent year-on-year. Last year Dicos has more than 2,000 chain stores, of them about 90 percent are franchised. It is the first time that Dicos has surpassed McDonald as the second largest western fast food chains only after Yum’s KFC.
