A piece of 343,309 square meter land listed on Wednesday at the website of Guangzhou Land Resources and Housing Administrative Bureau for assignment is believed to be developed by Dalian Wanda Group company into a tourism and cultural town, including large skiing facilities.

Dalian Wanda signed an agreement with Guangzhou city government in March last year for investing 30 billion yuan ($4.89 billion) in a tourism and cultural project with an area of about two million square meters on Pingbu Avenue in Huadu district in Guangzhou,

The plot of the land listed on Wednesday is located to the north of Pingbu Avenue and should be part of the project, reported Yangcheng Evening News, citing informed sources.

Wang Jianlin, chairman of Dalian Wanda, had said the project would include the only indoor skiing venue in South China.
