Refrigeration hub comes out of the cold

Ji said government officials and staff members carry out promotion programs for the companies across the country.

The district has also introduced household electronic appliances related to refrigeration to form an industrial chain.

Ji said to attract investment the local government offered convenient services to investors.

The government set up special work teams to cover all the services that the projects need to move to Minquan High-tech Zone. The team also continues to help companies after they become operational.

Another appeal of the zone is that the refrigeration school of the Chinese Academy of Sciences set up a branch in the zone, according to Ji. Industry experts and scholars offer guidance and contribute to R&D in the zone.

There is also a refrigeration-testing center, which is the only one in the province and the fourth in the nation. The center has a set of locally developed standards to ensure product quality.

"We opened these professional institutions to strengthen the bonds among the government, companies and academic institutions. We have achieved the transformation from manufactured in Minquan to invented in Minquan," said Ji.

Minquan High-tech Zone hopes to become the refrigeration industrial cluster for the nation.

The zone is already home to big names in the country's refrigeration industry including Aucma and Wanbao.
