HARBIN - Spring Airlines said on Friday it would launch a flight linking China's northernmost provincial capital Harbin with Jeju in the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The flight, operating on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, will start on Dec 25.

The low-cost airline said its fares will start as low as nine yuan ($1.5).

The ROK is one of the leading destinations favored by outbound Chinese tourists. Chinese visitors are estimated to exceed six million this year.

Jeju has a visa-free policy with China.
