Getting VAT back
When buying products that are eligible for VAT refunds in designated stores, overseas visitors should immediately tell the retailer that they wish to get a refund and ask for the documents necessary.
Visitors then go to a customs office that will verify and stamp the documents.
The next step is to apply to designated tax-refund agencies or other institutions set up by the tax authorities for this purpose.
Tax-refund agencies will then declare the goods to the tax authorities and claim a refund within one month.
