BEIJING - The United States topped the list of "most satisfying" foreign destinations for Chinese tourists in the second quarter, according to a report released Friday.
The satisfaction rating for travel in the United States was 80.99 out of a possible 100 points, 3.1 points higher than the average rating of 77.86 for 24 countries, according to a report issued by China Tourism Academy, a state tourism research institute.
Satisfaction levels for overseas travel rose compared with Q1 and Q2 of 2014, the report said.
Singapore was the top-rated foreign destination in Asia, while the ratings for Mongolia and India reached record highs, according to the report.
Complaints mainly focused on public services and travel agency services, such as a lack of Chinese translations of public information and poor transportation, the report noted.
