Startup unicorns such as Uber, Airbnb and Didi Kuaidi have offered the world a glimpse of what a shared economy could look like.

Didi Kuaidi, China's largest mobile-based ride-sharing platform, raised $2 billion from its latest round of fundraising, attracting tremendous interest from global investors, the company said on Wednesday.

Didi Kuaidi broke the record as the Internet company that raised the most money in a single round of fundraising, exceeding Facebook's $1.5 billion in its fundraising round. Home-sharing platform Airbnb raised $1.5 billion in 2011.

As the concept of the shared economy shapes daily life in the future, it is also reshaping traditional industries, with new investments pooled in.

Here are the 8 sectors most likely to be transformed by the shared economy, according to a list compiled by digital media Huxiu.

8. Health care

The development of the shared economy will free Chinese physicians from public hospitals and enable them to practice medicine at multiple sites including online consultations and visiting services.

Chunyu Doctor, one of China's leading online platforms connecting doctors and patients, was ranked among the top 10 creative brands of 2014 by Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park.
