The government's stimulus policies are starting to make an impact with consumers, according to a report released by a Chinese think tank on Tuesday.

Around 89.4 percent of the 5,000 people interviewed by the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce said they were familiar with the government's plan to encourage public spending. About 86.7 percent said they were "satisfied" with the government's policy.

But households with a monthly income lower than 5,000 yuan ($805) said they were "less satisfied" with the policy compared to people who earned more and the self-employed.
