China-Pakistan entrepreneurs' international seminar building platform to serve enterprises 'going global'

Mohammed Salim, minister for economic affairs of Pakistan's embassy in China gave a full introduction about Pakistan's economic situation. He said that the reasons for investment in Pakistan were as following: the large population and rich stock of young labor force, the prosperity and expansion of domestic consumers driven by urbanization, geopolitical significance, abundant natural resources, fertile land and favorable climate condition, deep-rooted friendship with Chinese people, more stable political conditions and gradually improved legal system, increasingly improved international credit, little restrictions on industries, investment profits bringing back to country, free investment model and low tax rates, etc. Minister Mohammed introduced that Chinese enterprises which invested in Pakistan were mainly interested in the field of infrastructure , services, manufacturing and knowledge economy. In addition, Pakistan had many industries in the energy and power, brand agriculture, minerals and real estate and other fields which had great potential and business opportunities. Minister suggested that Chinese investors to Pakistan shall have long-term investment objectives, find the suitable local partners under the assistance of the embassy, choose correct model of regional development through local talent cooperation management system, use the global best way and adjust product concept according to the actual situation in local Pakistan. Think-tank played an important role in identifying advantage industries, deepening exchanges and providing research information.

Li Xiguang, director of International Communication and Research Center of Tsinghua University introduced the thinking about China and Pakistan economic corridor and the construction of the civilization circle of "One Belt and One Road". He believed that drew a circle with the center of China and Pakistan economic corridor and countries or regions in the circle shared the same cultural circle from history to now. Relevant parties in the region shall strengthen the people-to-people exchanges, expand cultural visits, deepen understanding, respect each other and depth of integration on the fields of science, education, culture and health, especially history, customs, culture and other aspects, strengthen good neighborly and friendly public opinion foundation and promote the long-term cooperation and development through a full range of human and cultural exchanges.

Chen Feng, president of CCCMC of Department of Commerce said that jointly promoting the industrial cooperation between China and Pakistan was the real embodiment of co-discussion, co-construction and sharing principle; achieving early harvest as soon as possible and achieving mutual benefit and win-win would set an example for mutual development between China and neighboring countries. As the basic unit of the national economy, enterprises were the main participants in the market economy and made enormous contribution to the construction of "One Belt and One Road". In the process enterprise cooperation, we shall pay attention to core interests and social custom, solve the problem of local public community and environment, and reflect social responsibility which realize the economic efficiency of enterprises, meet the interests of the host country and achieve mutual benefit and win-win. CCCMC of Ministry of Commerce wished to carry out economic and trade cooperation with industries and enterprises of the countries or regions along the "One Belt and One Road" areas through RDI international Think-tank platform to serve the development of nations or regions along the line.
