Interlude in the delivery of the cloud: turning impossible to possible

Soon after starting deployment, the SST team faced a tough problem: how to deal with the extremely demanding delivery time.

As an education institution, its application system is the main teaching management system and obviously cannot malfunction in daily use. They had to finish all migration work during the July and August summer vacation. This meant the preparation time for SST would be less than one month.

Moreover, the subsequent work of data migration involved coordination and confirmation with the user's branch campuses and overseas headquarters. Unexpected problems such as network disconnection, updating of overseas servers, and the client’s newly added requirements to their business systems occurred in the implementation process, which further confined the delivery time, making completion seems like an impossible mission.

SST chose a correct implementation plan for the users after overcoming multiple pressures arising from exploring different resources. Meanwhile, it voluntarily assisted the client in communicating and coordinating with its overseas application service provider in the migration process. With its fast response teams consisting of front and back-end multiple departments and nearly round-the-clock support, SST finally made the impossible possible, enabling a timely and successful completion of the project.

Decision: low price or high quality service?

Now, competition in cloud computing is becoming more intense; many cloud service providers wage price war to expand their market share. However, low-cost strategies won't lead to long-term development for the cloud computing market.

It can be inferred from the above-mentioned international school case that SST has the kind of high quality service need by traditional industry. It has the skills that are key factors in completion of a smooth cloud application.

In addition to the education sector, SST also practices in manufacturing, retail and other fields, and has successfully constructed client private cloud and public cloud platforms. SST is confident it can and will assist more users from traditional industries in a smooth transition towards the cloud in the future.
