'Summer Davos' in Tianjin to focus on Industry 4.0

Advances in cyber-physical systems and what has been termed the fourth industrial revolution will be the theme of this year's annual meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, according to its organizing committee.

More than 1,500 business leaders, policymakers and experts from upward of 90 countries are expected to participate in the event, which is also known as the Summer Davos and will be held in Tianjin from Jun 26-28.

Insights and outcomes from the annual meeting, which will feature more than 150 sessions, will feed directly into the yearly Industry Strategy Meeting that has been integrated into event.

Media registration for the New Champions of the World Economic Forum meeting opened on Wednesday.
