Dong Mingzhu, deputy to the National People's Congress, said the Government Work Report eased her concern over the global economic uncertainty and boosted her confidence in Chinese enterprises' development in the year ahead.

The chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances Inc, a major Chinese home appliances maker, said the report, which Premier Li Keqiang delivered to the top legislature on Sunday, highlights the role of enterprises in accelerating growth when the outside world struggles with economic recovery.

Li said the government will take efforts to better upgrade the real economy through innovation and help accelerate the development of emerging industries.

China sets its GDP growth target at "around 6.5 percent" for 2017, and the country will also try to achieve better results of growth in actual work this year.

"We will grow at least 6.5 percent this year, and will make more contribution to China's development," Dong said.
