Top 10 Chinese enterprises in 2017
The top 10 Chinese enterprises for 2017 are mainly from the energy, banking, construction and insurance areas, according to the list released by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association, on Sep 10.
The list ranked 500 Chinese companies based on their operating revenues in 2016.
The country's electricity giant State Grid Corporation of China topped the list, followed by super-large petroleum companies, China Petrochemical Corporation and the China National Petroleum Corporation.
During the past 16 years, the threshold of operating revenues for companies to be included in the list has continued to rise from 2 billion yuan ($306 million) in 2002 to 28.3 billion yuan in 2017.
Meanwhile, more internet corporations have shown good performance in the past 10 years, including JD.com, Alibaba Group, Tencent and Baidu Inc, for instance, ranking 59, 103, 109 and 213 respectively.
