China's foreign trade improves in July

BEIJING -- China's foreign trade grew 7.8 percent year-on-year in July, gradually recovering from June's unexpected tumble, latest data showed Thursday.

Exports went up 5.1 percent year-on-year to $185.99 billion last month, while imports gained 10.9 percent to $168.17 billion, the General Administration of Customs said in an online statement.
