Green light on road to Tianjin's future

Volunteers: Workers charge the electric vehicles to be used during the 2010 Tianjin Summer Davos Forum at a power station in the city. More than 2,200 volunteers, among whom 90 percent are university students, will provide all-round assistance to the participants. Many of them will be stationed in the main scenic spots, busy streets, and 13 designated hotels during the forum. Bicycle teams have been organized to advocate a low-carbon lifestyle while doing volunteering work. Some 260 volunteers will provide language assistance and other services to the participants at the grand banquet on Sept 14. Volunteers have already been receiving guests in the airports and railway stations of Beijing and Tianjin.
