Porsche to recall cars in S Korea
Updated: 2012-04-01 13:46SEOUL - German luxury carmaker Porsche planned to recall 67 cars in South Korea for a defective fuel pipe, the transportation ministry said Sunday.
Voluntary recall would be made by Porsche for 67 vehicles with a design flaw in fuel line that may touch a coolant pipe and trigger fuel leak, leading the engine to stop suddenly, according to the Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs.
The vehicles subject to recall include 10 units of 911 Carrera, 49 units of 911 Carrera S, 3 units of 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 5 units of 911 Carrera S Cabriolet that were manufactured between September 8, 2011 and January 24, 2012.
Owners of the defective vehicles can contact the service centers for free repairs starting Monday, while those who had their cars repaired in advance can be reimbursed for their costs, the ministry said.
