BEIJING - Jiangxi Changhe Suzuki Automobile Co Ltd, a Sino-Japanese joint venture, will recall nearly 30,000 cars from next Thursday, China's quality watchdog said.

Recalled are the Liana A+ and the Splash produced between March 16 in 2010 and March 29 in 2013, said a statement from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on Friday.

The flaws at the engine may cause flameouts, the statement said.

Owners will have the flawed parts replaced for free, the statement said.
