The downward spiral of Mazda China continued with 24,538 vehicles sold in January, 11.7 percent less than the 27,785 in the same month last year.
Changan-Mazda realized sales of 15,898 units, 50.4 percent more than the 10,565 in January last year, while FAW-Mazda sold 8,640, 49.8 percent less than the 17,220 a year ago.
Changan-Mazda's models are the Mazda 2, 3, 3 Alexa and CX-5, while the Mazda 5, 6, 6 Ruiyi, 6 Atenza, 8, CX-7, CX-9 and MX-5 are managed by FAW-Mazda.
The Japanese carmaker's sales volume has been in decline since November.
