BEIJING - Chrysler will recall 58,643 of its imported 2011-2015 Dodge Journey SUVs in China after finding fire risks, according to the country's quality watchdog.
The affected vehicles were manufactured between July 19, 2010 and May 26, 2015, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in a statement on its website.
Chrysler said the engine hood of the affected vehicles may become loose and touch the exhaust manifold, which may result in fire, said the statement.
The company has promised to repair the faulty components free of charge after a recall starting Oct 31.
