FAW recalls faulty automobiles in China
BEIJING - FAW Car Company will recall 8,296 vehicles in China due to problems with the audio system, starting March 30, 2018.
It will recall Audi A4L vehicles manufactured between Sept 2, 2015 and Sept 30, 2017, Audi A4 allroad manufactured between Aug 8, 2016 and June 3, 2017, and Audi A5 manufactured between Feb 24 and May 31, 2017, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The recall was made as the faulty design of the audio system decoration strip meant it could edge up and potentially hurt people.
All faulty parts will be replaced free of charge.
Automakers recalled 4.49 million defective vehicles in China in the first five months of the year, compared with 11.34 million for the whole of 2016.
