Top 10 free iOS games apps in China

A recent study conducted by the China Internet Network Information Center (CINIC) showed that the number of people accessing the Internet from mobile devices totaled 557 million as of the end of 2014, up 56.7 million year-on-year and accounting for 85.8 percent of the nation's online population.

"With the expansion of fourth-generation services and the proliferation of smartphones, China had 248 million mobile online game players as of the end of last year, surging 32.9 million year-on-year," CINIC said.

CNNIC is an administration and service organization set up on June 3, 1997 upon the approval of the competent authority and undertakes the responsibilities as the national Internet network information center.

Here we present the country's top 10 free games apps on the iOS platform, according to statistics from industry research company App Annie.

Asphalt 8: Airborne is a racing video game, developed and published by Gameloft, which is headquartered in Paris, as part of the Asphalt series. It was released on August 22, 2013 for iOS and Android.

The 2014 updated version of the game has added new tracks that allow the player to "discover the Great Wall of China."
