Be it robots or cutting-edge wearable devices, products that are unveiled at CES, one of the world's largest consumer electronics shows in the US, are going to make their way to China with the help of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group.
Gary Shapiro, president and chief executive officer of the Consumer Technology Association, which organizes CES, announced Tuesday that Alibaba's Tmall platform is authorized as the exclusive online shopping site to sell tech products launched on CES.
According to a statement from Tmall, it will help sell consumer electronic products online in many ways, including pre-sales and crowd funding. "Eventually, some of the producers may open up their own online stores on Tmall," the statement said.
