ISTANBUL - The world's largest PC maker Lenovo achieved a 61 percent growth in revenue in Turkey in 2016 over the previous year and dominated the country's notebook market, according to figures unveiled on Thursday evening.

As the No 1 in Turkey's notebook market in 2016, Lenovo also saw its PC market share in the country rise from 16 percent in 2015 to 21 percent in the following year, Zhou Weijian, general manager of Lenovo Turkey, said at a meeting with distributors in Istanbul.

Lenovo entered the Turkish market in 2007 and is now marketing its computers, smartphones and servers here, Zhou said, adding his company's smartphones are among top five in Turkey for now.

He was confident that Lenovo will have its revenue double in Turkey in three years.

As a global technology leader with $45 billion in sales and customers in more than 160 countries, Lenovo ranked 202nd in 2016 Fortune Global 500.
