Jessica Simpson keen on fresh start

Newly divorced Jessica Simpson is all geared up to write a new journal using the colour white that'll be symbolic of a fresh start, after her split from ex hubby Nick Lachey.

According to contactmusic.com, Simpson turned 26 recently and is looking for a clean start.

She said: "This last year has been a very intense year. It'll be nice to turn 26 and come into a new year with a different perspective. I think every year you become more clear about why it is you're here."

Simpson added: "I'll start a new journal. The colours I choose for my journals always reflect the mood I'm in. And if I don't have the right colour pen, I won't write. I think this new journal will be white. I want a clean, fresh start."
