Aguilera's last laugh over label bosses
Christina Aguilera laughed when she heard record label executives who refused to offer her music deals as an unknown singer later lost their jobs.
The raunchy Dirrty singer first hit the public eye in 1990 on various US talent shows, but was told by labels she lacked a distinctive voice.
However, in 1999 RCA signed Aguilera and have released her hit albums Stripped and her self-titled debut.
She says, "Some of them said they had 20 other singers that sounded like me."
"Who's having the last laugh now, right? People definitely lost their jobs over that, I later heard."
