TomKat go honeymooning
In the wake of their so-called wedding of the year, newly weds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes flew out of Rome Sunday Nov 19th en route to a honeymoon in the Maldives. The happy couple flew over 4,500 miles for 10 hours to the glorious Maldive Islands, described by many as "a string of pearls." The Maldives are over 1,000 tropical, coral islands in the Indian Ocean known for their exclusive romantic resorts, exquisite scuba diving and spas.
Aside from all the happy news, TomKat sadly have caused disappointment to some residents of the town of Bracciano, Italy. It is none other because of their "arrogant" attitude. Bracciano Mayor Patrizia Riccioni, who waived the castle's customary $50,000 fee for the stars and had been considering making them honorary citizens of her town, had cut short such plan.
"Honorary citizenship? They do not deserve it," the mayor told Britain's Telegraph. "A whole town has sacrificed itself for them, volunteers worked all day, traffic was closed off. We greeted them with great enthusiasm and have put up patiently with all the small problems that the event has brought. 'After that, the couple did not appear to the public even for an instant."
Well maybe after the honeymoon TomKat will return to the town for a bunch of thanks. Who knows?!
