Aniston eyes adoption
Jennifer Aniston is reportedly planning to adopt a baby. The 37-year-old actress - who is divorced from husband Brad Pitt and has recently broken up with boyfriend Vince Vaughn - allegedly wants to have a son, and is prepared to open her home to a disadvantaged youngster.
A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Jennifer says that when her year-and-a-half affair with Vince ended, she started rethinking her priorities.
"She's 37, and adopting a child would be a way to put some roots down without feeling desperate about the future. She says she'd love to have a son - that's what she's feeling in her heart."
The former Friends star is desperate to become a mother, but after her recent romantic troubles doesn't want to get involved with another man.
The source added: "Jennifer would still love to have children biologically someday, but she feels burned out on relationships right now and isn't looking forward to dating again.
"Adoption is something she and Brad talked about when they were married, before his current partner Angelina Jolie adopted her first child."
Jolie, 31, previously maintained she was happy to be a single mother when she met Pitt - then married to Aniston - on the set of their movie Mr and Mrs Smith.
But she tells Elle magazine in a new interview: "What I wanted was to find somebody who, first and foremost, was a great father, because I was already a parent.
"Yes, I needed somebody who cared about the issues. But it's not just that Brad will travel and he loves kids. He's a thoughtful, intelligent man.
"When it comes to talking about something going on in the world and what we can do, his natural instinct is, 'How and when can we do that?'
"It's the same with raising kids. He just naturally knows he's lucky to be a dad to these really funny, lovely little people, so the way he parents them comes naturally. It's just right."
Jolie also revealed that she and Pitt, 43, parents to adopted children Maddox, five, and Zahara, two, and biological daughter Shiloh, seven months, want to have a huge family of 10 children.
Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio has 'adopted' a South African baby girl.
The actor - who worked with orphans from SOS Children's Villages while he was in South Africa filming Blood Diamond - met the unnamed girl in an orphanage and fell in love with her after they talked and played together.
However, Leonardo doesn't plan to follow in Jolie's footsteps and take the child home with him.
He will not be raising the girl or living with her.
Instead, he will continue checking on her progress by chatting to her over the phone and will
send her a monthly cheque.
Jolie recently revealed she is desperate to adopt again.
She said: "I feel very blessed. We are always open to adoption. I believe I'm meant to find my children in the world and not necessarily have them genetically."
Pitt is also keen to extend their family and loves having children so much that he is planning to start his own soccer team.
He revealed: "My expectations about being a dad are being excelled daily. When I tuck the children in at night I always take the time to talk to them.
"I have three kids now and next year I'll have six then nine. We're looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup."
