Kate Hudson: 'I wasn't spoiled as a child'

Kate Hudson has denied she was a spoiled child - because she always flew economy.

The actress - whose mother is screen legend Goldie Hawn - says her parents refused too pay first class air fare for four children.

She tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "It's funny, because everybody thinks I was spoiled and flew first class everywhere, but it's not true.

"My parents had four children and they weren;t going to pay thousands of dollars for our air fares – can you imagine the cost? They wouldn't do that.

"We didn't care – we had each other to play with at the back of the plane, while my parents were traveling in luxury at the front."
