Julia Roberts wants to invite US President Barack Obama to dinner.

The 'Pretty Woman' star says the Obama family top the invite list to her dream dinner party - which also includes Diane Sawyer, Mike Nichols, Oprah Winfrey, Stedman Graham and Tina Fey.

Julia, 41, said: "For sure, we're going to start with the Obamas. The girls can play with my kids."

The actress - who has four-year-old twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter with her husband, cameraman Danny Moder - admits to being a protective mother, but says it is necessary to ensure her children are happy.

She added to Allure magazine: "I think it should be against the law to take a picture of a celebrity's child. Fortunately, it's a rare occurrence for us. My husband and I are very protective of our children. We go out of our way to shelter them from the paparazzi and to still live a normal life."

Julia has reportedly signed up to a new movie to be produced by Hollywood actor Brad Pitt. The film - 'Eat, Pray, Love' - follows a woman's journey across the world to find love.
