British reality TV star to have surgery
LONDON – The spokesman for British reality TV star Jade Goody, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, says she will undergo surgery.
Max Clifford says Goody will have the operation at London's Royal Marsden Hospital on Sunday or Monday, but he didn't offer specifics about the procedure.
Clifford said Sunday that doctors had recommended surgery to help relieve Goody's persistent stomach pain.
Doctors have said she could die in several weeks because of her cervical cancer.
The 27-year old is best known for much-mocked appearances in reality television shows. But her response to her cancer diagnosis has been held up as an example of bravery.
Goody last week sold media rights to her televised wedding extravaganza to help fund her sons' education.
