Mark Ronson against doggy style

Mark Ronson says wearing fur is like wearing a pet dog.

The music producer - who was recently named the world's best dressed man by GQ magazine - has posed with his pooch Maude for a new anti-fur advert for PETA beside the tagline "If You Wouldn't Wear Your Dog, Please Don't Wear Any Fur".

The campaign was organised by Peta2, the youth arm of the animal rights group (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). PETA Europe Director Robbie LeBlanc said: "The only difference between our 'best friends' and animals killed for their fur is how we treat them.

No one knows that better than a sharp dresser like Mark Ronson. With all the fashionable alternatives available, there's absolutely no excuse for wearing fur."

Ronson is the latest celebrity to oppose fur in campaigns for Peta2, following in the footsteps of Kasabian, The Courteneers and The Wombats. Stars to have shown their support for PETA include Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and Pink.
