Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne
Disney's latest collaboration with Tim Burton, the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland," has a star-studded cast which includes Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway. It'll also feature a star-studded soundtrack to boot, including new music from Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects and Owl City.
Avril Lavigne's "Alice (Underground)" is the lead single from the upcoming soundtrack. Also contributing brand new music are bands like Shinedown, Metro Station, and All Time Low.
Tour-mates Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 collaborated on a song for the soundtrack, "In Transit," which they talked about with MTV News. "We did a song for 'Alice in Wonderland,'" Wentz said. "[It] sounds nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy."
The soundtrack featuring popular rock acts will be dubbed "Almost Alice" and will be one of two soundtracks releasing on March 2nd. The second will feature the original score by Danny Elfman. "Alice in Wonderland" hits theaters on March 5th.
