Ronaldo becomes a father - media
LISBON – Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has become a father, Portuguese media reported on Sunday, quoting sources close to his agent and an "official" Facebook and Twitter post.
The post in question says that the 25-year-old has "recently become a father" while Correio da Manha newspaper reported "Gestifute," the company which is run by the player's agent, as having confirmed the news.
According to the paper, which did not give a further source, "the baby's mother is from North America and she had her child in early June.
Portuguese media added that a Facebook post had Ronaldo as saying: "With the agreement of the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, I will have exclusive custody of my son."
Ronaldo, who last year became the world's most expensive player when he moved from Manchester United to Real, had a disappointing World Cup as his country was eliminated in the last 16 by Spain.
